Tell me how you use Twitter!

If you've read my blog post (and if not, obviously you should!), I am curious about how Twitter can be of use to language professionals. I am curious about whether you use Twitter both personally and professionally, and how. Is it useful for finding clients? Is it useful for promoting yourself? Is it an easy way to exchange with colleagues around the world? I hope to explore this on my own, since I am a Twitter virgin, but I want to hear from you too!

I just tweeted my first tweet, promoting my latest blog post! I am following ProZ and see that they are offering a webinar on how translators can use social media. I don't want to pay for it ($15), but maybe someone else does!

That's hilarious! Do you use Twitter at all in your translation career? You need to re-request me because I deleted you because I was like "Who the heck is that?!"

> As if by pure coincidence, having not visited my Twitter account in months and not received any requests in almost as long, today I receive a request from someone describing herself as "Queen of the Zombies, Leader of the Living Dead, Corpse Kaiser, Sheikh of the Shambling, Rani of the Runner, Raja of the Rotting, Grand Pubbah of the Putrid." I don't know if she would be a good contact for my translation career, but she sounds interesting...

Hahaha! That person is me, I found you after reading your blog (and commenting there instead of here). Hopefully I may help your translation career yet!
In case you are wondering, I won the elongated title in a contest related to a different passion.
